This is is a sad story with a merciful ending.
Reading some of the comments from people who are losing their minds that the moose had to be put down makes me very concerned about the next bad racing breakdown.
Imagine if social media had been around for Go for Wand or Ruffian

I started to watch it, but I stopped because I do not want to see it being shot. Hopefully, that’s not what is part of this video.

No the video does not show the moose being euthanized. What it does show is a gravely injured animal. Racing people will realize right away what the only outcome of this will be.
i did a lousy job trying to make my point. What I was trying to point out was the unrealistic reaction of some people in the comments who felt that the cops/animal services people somehow didn’t do enough to save the moose. My concern is that when racing has the next breakdown in a big race social media will absolutely explode.

I got your point Largemac...social media blows a lot of things out of proportion but that is due to the people who are posting.....used to be we could agree to disagree but that is not the case much anymore...no rationalization to see that people are entitled to their opinions.....where are the flower children preaching peace and love?
