Hooper, thought you might be interested in this. The Cream played at a small town called Nairn (population 9,960) in 1967. It’s about 87 miles north of my hometown Aberdeen. Admission was 10 shillings equivalent to $1.20 at that time

I could be mistaken, but I think no fewer than 6 of those songs reached #1 for at least a week on WLS in Chicago (my AM station of choice then), which is pretty incredible.# 1, 2, 3, 5, 6, and 8.

Striking that in 1967 not one song by what many would declare is the best rock n roll group ever! Amazing catalog of songs/hits. The Beatles!

I thought that was from a single week in 1967. The year 1967 was a fallow period for Beatles singles (only Strawberry Fields Forever/ Penny Lane comes to mind). That was the year they released Sergeant Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band as an LP, which was the first (in the US at least) that did not contain any cuts that were released as 45s.

Not ever having seen Cream live is a regret of mine, though I was fairly young and I'm not sure if they hit the midwestern US on tour. I'll have to look it up.
