I hope he makes it into the Kentucky Derby just so we could read Grommet’s name analysis. I would hazard a guess that he wouldn’t get past the first cut !

Would give consideration if it rains... grilled cheese and tomato soup on a rainy day.
Classic.

Silly me. I just got the significance of the name. Horse is owned by Charlotte Weber who is the granddaughter of the founder of Campbell Soup. As regards the sandwich part I guess that’s because he is a home bred. 😉

Is it just me or is there no speed in the Florida Derby. It's either going to be Soup and Sandwich or Collaborate most likely and it doesn't look like it's going to go all that fast.

Nice name and story—-nothing wrong with that approach. Don’t read me as a spoiler, Bev..... Mac sees it as it probably may be.
Baffert loses Life is Good, sees a possibly weak field major prep, and takes his first ever FL Derby shot with Spielberg. I expect this runner to be up close and capable, or he wouldn’t be making the trip.
Shug’s runner doesn’t have flashy times and figs, however he seems to be able to get the distance, finish well and win. He didn’t seem overly used last out imo, and should have more to show until he meets Concert Tour or cox’s Quality colt.
Should be an interesting Saturday, starting with Dubai. Plenty of interesting races, at least to watch....
