It was very interesting to me reading's Eye's post of those two Tampa horse guys after I capped the Tampa Derby race. I am also wondering just how good Super Strong really is after winning a G1 race in Puerto Rico. 1:24 for 7Fs on a sloppy track. Raw time would make about 1:42+ or so for a 1-1/16.
My next question would be, “Is that really his only race?” It's very rare to see 2 year old entered into a G1 race with zero experience – then win. At 8/1 you just might have to play it in the gimmicks but I doubt you'll bet 8/1
Candy Man Rocket 2/1 – He won a G3 at this track and at this distance against a full field. Can't leave him out.
King Of Dreans 20/1 5 weeks ago he broke his maiden going door-to-door on the grass. We know he can make the distance but can he do it on dirt? You might want to keep him in your pocked if you might be looking for a long shot to juice up a tri or pk-3
Hidden stash 4/1 - besides Candy Man there are 4 other speed types in here and if one or two of them want to test his speed Stash looks like one that could take advantage of that. This is one I have to use.
Unbridled Honor see Hidden Stash
Helium – a visitor from the north and he looks promising. He's won both his races easily winning going away. Both were 7Fs so he'll be stretching out a bit. He's modestly breed and I don't know if he will like the dirt or not. .
Promise Keeper 8/1 Last race was a good one even though it was on a sloppy track. He took the lead out of the gate and steadily out ram the field to the gate – winning by 5. Top trainer, very good rider and per the BRIS post Impact values out side is where you want to be on this track. If he doesn't get caught in a speed duel he has a chance at a price. Another I'll use.
