Late '80s...Frank Sinatra at the Universal outdoor amphitheater in LA. was my 1st concert,
and since that is the only concert I've ever seen, Frank Sinatra is also my best concert.
How'bout you?

1st Parents took us to a Beach Boys concert in Saratoga, late 60's Best was either the U2 concert a month after 9/11 or the first ever concert at Fenway,The E Street Band. I have the right to change my mind going forward.

First: Harry Chapin in the late 70's Worst: Barry Manilow at Red Rocks, Colorado (mid-70's) - wanted to see a concert there, and he was the only one scheduled while I was there. Favorite: Elvis Costello at the college I attended in the late 70's.

Spider knows how jealous I am about his Woodstock experience! Tull would be awesome. Bad Actor knows Kenny Rogers! Hard to imagine liking the Jean Perre Experience over Bowie in the 70's! I did see Grand Funk Railroad with The Cars, which was cool.

1961, Sunset Hills Park & Pool $1.00 to get in. It was not a real "concert" and we had never heard of the band before. It was simply called "Ike and Tina Turner". And the rest is history.

This post made me smile. "The $1 to get in". Back then a dollar was a DOLLAR. Candy bars(big ones) were a nickel...you could get 20 for a $1. Hamburger joint back then (Wetson's) charged fifteen cents for a burger, dime for a soda. You could get six hamburgers and a coke for $1. Woolworths (anyone remember Woolworths ) use to have a row of balloons above their dining counter that when you ordered a banana split the balloon you picked they'd pop an inside was the price you paid for the banana split. One penny up to 39 cents. Bowling alley use to have a special, three games(shoes included) with a hot dog and coke...a dollar and thirty five cents. All that said...Ike and Tina Turner for a buck....how does that commercial go again...priceless. Nice !

1st Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons
Best Concert - Elton John - He rocked for 3 hours with no breaks.
Saw George Thorogood, Charlie Daniels and The Marshall Tucker Band several times each. All were good, every time.
George was a real rocker/entertainer.
Wish I got to see Lowell George and Little Feat. Never got the chance.
Also wish I saw the Eagles live, with Glenn.
Looking forward to see Leonid and Friends next month in North Hampton MA.
