Hand/arm injury, not life threatening. Being interviewed by police. Might have been at ground zero. Other families today not as fortunate as mine. Hooper

Hoop, I'm glad to hear that she will be OK. I can't even imagine experiencing what she and the others with her must have gone through today.
I'm thinking of and praying for everyone involved. Colleen

Really sorry to hear about this Hooper. I'm glad your loved one is gonna be ok. Feel badly for all loved ones not as lucky in the seemingly never ending string of mass shootings. What's different in the post Columbine era than the ones before it? In my opinion it's one word. Internet. Just an idea that I'm doubtful will ever be researched.

Cut by flying glass from the shotgun blast shattering windows. Ran out bleeding to an ambulance, total stranger stayed with her all afternoon and night. No phone, left it behind,we couldn’t contact her for hours. Police took her bloodied clothes as evidence. Forms, interrogations. The mental healing will be a long journey. Family is traveling to Baltimore to stay with her for at least the next two weeks, probably will be much longer. Thanks to everyone for the support. I thought it was important to let people know it can happen to any family. Be safe. Hooper

My niece was one of the two women named in this Baltimore Sun excerpt that were injured. There are currently two funds set up for the families of those killed, easy to find if anyone wants to donate. Hooper
Ramos is charged in the killings of editor and columnist Rob Hiaasen, 59; Wendi Winters, 65, a community correspondent who headed special publications; editorial page editor Gerald Fischman, 61; sports writer John McNamara, 56; and Rebecca Smith, 34, a sales assistant. Two other staff members, Rachael Pacella and Janel Cooley, were also injured during the attack. They have been released from the hospital.

When we spoke the other day Hoop...it sounded like you and your family were going through a tough patch. Then this? This country seems to be at odds over guns. But the vast majority who want to limit guns probably have never been shot! Thank God your niece is not critically wounded Hoop. Whatever side you come down on about guns it seems we clearly can not ban them while looking for a solution. Guns are not going away. Maybe it's time to consider charging $5,000 for a bullet?
