As of today, I won’t be there. Have a west coast N Cal park tour scheduled in 2 weeks, but if that gets shut down due to fire and closings, I might BC Wednesday - Sunday last minute.
Last Del Mar BC was a favorite—-wouldn’t mind doing it again. If I go, hope to see a few of you there!

The BC Mile gained a serious contender Sunday in Space Blues (124 Timeform), who cruised to an impressive win in the seven-furlong Prix de la Foret. Space Blues, all being well, will ship to Del Mar, while two other Godolphin runners – Benbatl and Master of The Seas – remain under consideration for the Mile. Duhail, who had a tough trip over heavy going he might have disliked finishing 10th in the Foret, had previously been mentioned as a possible Mile participant.
Godolphin blue silks and blue cap.

As we get closer to the 2021 Breeders Cup I am positive Charlie Appleby is loaded and Aidan O'Brien is not. O'Briens BC hopefuls have been devastated by injury. Luckily he has probably the best two 2 yos in the World in Luxemburg and Tenebrism. Unfortunately he barely raced both this year (2 starts each with a very long gap) and really doesn't want to bring them. Fortunately for racing fans O'Brien has an ego and has never won the BC JFT so it looks like he's bringing Tenebrism....Because the thought of Charlie Appleby ruling the roost is driving Aidan nuts....
You can watch her in Cheveley Stakes here....

anyone have any favorite things to do in the San Diego area? I have a free day Sunday after the BC in San Diego, no car, but could uber or get one. I've been a couple times and been to the Zoo, Midway, & Pacific/Mission beach.

elkurzhal - a little south of Del Mar are some good restaurants - Pacifica Del Mar (1555 Camino Del Mar) & Prep Kitchen (1201 Camino Del Mar). Prep Kitchen has great upscale comfort food, the burger is outstanding. Pacifica is a little fancier but still casual enough and specializes in seafood - great rooftop view as well. That area of Del Mar also has a nice beach, either for walking or a little body surfing, but the water will likely be on the cold side. It sounds like you are already familiar with the San Diego Zoo area, but Balboa Park is a good place to wander around. A little southwest of Balboa Park is a fun retro arcade & bar called Coin Op Gaslamp. A little southwest of the city is an area called Point Loma that has a good hiking path along a cliffy beach - as well as a spectacular view of the San Diego Bay. In between San Diego and Del Mar, La Jolla has a lot of shops, restaurants and a beach park with lots of seals.

Thanks grommet! BCBC provides car service from the airport to the hotel & shuttle to the track if you stay at one of the partner hotels so we are doing that. Staying at the Hyatt in LaJolla. Have Fri/Sat reservations at Truluck's Seafood and Fleming's Steakhouse both right next door. LEaning toward spending Sunday checking out LaJolla since we won't have a car.
Also thanks for the heads up on beerweek hooper!
