synic. skeptic.
'we need to retire him before he gets a banned substance test positive'...that's what it feels like. skeptical about every "champion" bb has ever trained.
used to be when two runners overembolden each other the way swiss skydiver and authentic did in the preakness, they're both off form the rest of the year. one barn runs clean and it holds true. the other...doesn't feel authentic. how cliche is offline

Not a surprise at all as Spendthrift has been doing the early retirment recently after acquiring breeding rights i.e. Omaha Beach, Bolt d'Oro, even Gormley retired after age 3 so no real surprise at all. The $75,000 stud fee does seem a bit high in the season of declining fees, lead in larger part by Spendthrift and I wouldn't want to try to manage 23 stallions at one farm. I would guess a few are about to leave KY though in the near future.

If I was sending a mare to Spendthrift it would be Malibu Moon for $35,000. Really no way to get to Into Mischief.

Goldencents is certainly popular. 240 mares in 2019 and 204 this year.

I guess it comes down to how confident you are in the horse. If you're highly confident, and if they actually run them, there's two HUGE pots to chase in the Middle East early next year. If you're not terribly confident, from a resume building POV, it's hard to beat being a Ky Derby and BC Classic champion.

+ Goldencents is about as close to Into Mischief as you can get. Is doing well though maybe up to $25k per?
Our mare is in foal to Goldencents A 1/2 by Verrazano just broke his maiden by 8 down @ Camerero in Central America over the weekend. Shipped down there after Navarro was busted. Another 1/2 SKY TEMPLE 2yo colt by Temple City is training well in Ky.
