Going out on a limb and making him my best bet tomorrow. Even when he won the Preakness and was on the Triple Crown trail, I always felt that the classic distances were a little out of his range. He was shortened up on turf this year and ran well and a mile on the dirt should be right in his wheelhouse. Has been wotking well and Casse says he deserves another shot on the dirt in which will be his final start. Anything north of 8-1 would be a gift IMO.
Updates on Saturday’s Card
F&M Sprint - starting to like Speech in here. Cutback will do her well.
Turf- Arklow has always been a favorite of mine and blinkers did the trick in his last. Cox has him razor sharp. Don’t know if that’s good enough to beat a strong Euro contingent, but I’ll take 6-1 to find out.
Good Luck Steve

Didn't know WOW is being retired. Interesting campaign. You have to wonder about going back to the dirt for the first time this year especially having won a Grade 1 on this turf course and at the Mile distance back in July. FWIW, I was liking him along with Art Collector.

Hi George. How are you? I see no problem going back to dirt. It’s not like he’s a turf horse trying dirt for the first. He won the freakin Preakness!! He’s also been working well on the dirt. I’m curios myself. Why wouldn’t Casse run him in the Turf Mile since the purse is twice as much? Easier field IMO. Steve

Good to see you back, Steve. If he's being retired, a BC Dirt Mile might create a better resume. Honestly, I don't think he's top notch on turf and he has a better chance in this race, particularly given his post draw at the mile distance.
