I know I got a little long winded on my Friday picks (hanging around Larry too long 😂). Try to make these shorter.
Filly and Mare Sprint - know there’s been talk of GAMINE not being herself but she lays all over this field. This race is an El Paso for me.
Turf Sprint - love GLASS SLIPPERS. High class Euro looks as sharp as ever. Two losses to Battaash no disgrace as he’s a monster. IMPRIMIS is sharp right now. WET YOUR WHISTLE can light up the tote.
Dirt Mile - WAR OF WILL. I guess most people have forgotten that he was a classic horse last year although the distances were a little long for him. One mile should be right in his wheelhouse. Drooling over getting double digits on him! RUSHIE loves the distance. COMPLEXITY and ART COLLECTOR in the mix.
Filly and Mare Turf - PEACEFUL. Throwing out her last as she obviously didn’t care for the footing. Well bred O’Brien 3 year old fits well and should be a price. HARVEYS LITTLE GOIL can surprise. CAYENNE PEPPER a live 3 year old Euro. Anything by Chad Brown fits here!
Sprint - FRANK’S ROCKETTE. The fact that she ‘s entered here speaks volumes although this is probably easier than facing Gamine at 7 furlongs.YAUPON has yet to be beaten going for 5 in a row. A weak Sprint field IMO.
Mile - KAMEKO - solid 3 year old Kitten’s Joy Euro is a legit Grade 1 runner with a 127 Timeform rating in his last. SISKIN another top class Euro. RAGING BULL will be dangerous.
Distaff - MONOMY GIRL and SWISS SKYDIVER should fight this out. HOROLOGIST can upset.
Turf - LORD NORTH’s last is a toss. Gets back on track for Gosden. MAGICAL is the horse to beat. MOGUL and TARNAWA complete a strong Euro contingent.
Classic - TIZ THE LAW, IMPROBABLE, MAXIMUM SECURITY and AUTHENTIC are all legit win candidates but I’m looking at TACITUS to hit the board at big odds. Hasn’ t been himself the last few off the layoff but NEVER underestimate Bill Mott!
That’s my early take on things. When I get the updated Form with latest workouts, I’ll make any changes I feel necessary.
Good Luck
Steve
