Well now that I’m back I might as well get into the act. I’ll try to make them short and sweet.
Juvenile Turf Sprint- I’ll start this off by saying I think GOLDEN PAL is the best horse in the race, but with the 14 post and short odds, I have to try and beat him, although he will still be on Pick 3 tickets. MOMOS is the longshot I’m trying. Started out winning his debut by 6 and was promptly put in a stake 3 weeks later, where he went well for a 1/2 but he was facing Jackies Warrior, the undefeated favorite in the Juvenile. His first race on turf was good and if he can just sit back a bit in a race loaded with speed, I think he has a shot. Plus I respect anything Clement puts on the track these days. In a race loaded with speed, COWAN will be flying late. INTO THE SUNRISE was not at his best distance last out and that neck loss to Gretzky the Great looks awfully good.
Juvenile Turf - I like CADILLAC in this spot. He opened his career destroying Ebeko who came right back to win and has run well twice in California. He then ran 2nd to Mac Swiney and then won a Grade 2. In his last, a Grade 1 he had a horrible trip and didn’t care for the soft going. Catch him today at a decent price. GO ATHLETICO is another Euro who has never been beaten by more than a length. GRETZKY THE GREAT gets a huge jockey switch and will be hard to beat. BATTLEGROUND; always respect O’Brien.
Juvenile Fillies - liked DAYOUTOFTHEOFFICE last time and not going off her now. Fastest last out Beyer of 95 looks tough to beat. PRINCESS NOOR looks like she can be a monster but her Beyers are light and not sure she was beating much. VEQUIST can get a piece.
Juvenile Fillies Turf - Four undefeated fillies in here and I’m going with CAMPANELLE. Won her debut at Gulfstream in May and Ward then shipped her to England and France to capture a Grade 2 and Grade 1. Her Timeform figure of 102 equates to faster than anyone else has run. Hoping for 7/2 in a wide open field. PLUM ALI will be flying late. AUNT PEARL also dangerous.
Juvenile - hard to go against JACKIES WARRIOR. Yes he’s never been around two turns but he’s just so much faster than these. Doesn’t need the lead as he proved in his debut and if need be he can sit chilly. Using two longshots underneath him and as savers on pick 3 tickets. I think ROMBAUER is sitting on a big race. Whether it’s good enough to beat JW remains to be seen. I caught KING FURY in his maiden breaker as I loved this $950,000 colt’s breeding. Curlin out of Grade 1 winner Taris. Didn’t run well in his next which was a Grade 1 but came back to win at Churchill. Might be a cut below but at big odds I give him a shot to crash the tri.
Boy, I guess I wrote alot more than I expected to, but I missed this.
Good Luck
