European entrants- Juv Turf Sprint (last three Racing Post Ratings) ~ (owner-trainer):
Ubettabelieveit (108-23-95) (Martin Webb Racing/Tinkler)- Three wins in four tries at 5F, all over good ground, including most recently a head win in GII- Flying Childers S. at Doncaster at 40-1. Career turf record (5/3-0-0).
Race begins at 1:30:00 mark.
Lipizzaner (103-102-102) (Tabor, et. al./A. O'Brien)- Second in a GIII at the Curragh (6.5F) two back, then won a listed event at Doncaster (6F) on 24 Oct. Has won going five furlongs, and handles any kind of ground. Career turf record (7/2-3-0).
Race begins at 0:30 mark.
Mighty Gurkha (73-AW-95) (Rashid/Watson)- Career turf record is an uninspiring (4/0-1-0), with two wins on AW. Last was a non-effort over soft ground at Newmarket.
North American entrants-
Golden Pal (2-1) looks to be the favorite if others all take their first race preference. Irad hand rode him in the Skidmore S. at Saratoga, never even asked him for his best.
Cowan (9-1) was held up in fifth in Indian Summer S. at KEE over C&D, lacked room briefly when running up on heels entering the stretch, finished strongly to miss by a length. I like Ricardo Santana, Jr. very much riding in dirt sprints, but there is a reason he's a 9% turf rider. Joel Rosario would move this horse up a few lengths IMO.
Dirty Dangle (7-1) showed a great turn of foot when angling out and flying home in latest. Gary Barber & Eclipse T-bred bought the horse privately after the race and turned her over to Casse.
Win chances: Golden Pal, Cowan, Dirty Dangle
Will use underneath: After Five, Amanzi Yimpilo, Cowan, Second of July, Ubettabelieveit.
