Caracaro is out - ligament issue after working six furlongs this morning. Shame as I thought he had a genuine chance to hit the board.

Same here as had him underneath at big payouts in future exactas. Hard to believe the race is a week from today and I’m not more excited about it.

Shirl’s Speight who was only confirmed as a Derby runner a few days ago is now out after coughing this morning.

Shirl's Speight is officially out. Rushie will run in the Pat Dad on the undercard. Money Moves (Pletcher) will run. Looks like there will be 17 runing.

King Guillermo did not train today. Trainer said there is a small problem. Announcement expected later this afternoon. Confirmed out due to a fever 🤒

King Guillermo will be scratched. This from Horse Racing Nation:
"After missing his scheduled Thursday morning gallop, King Guillermo will be scratched from Saturday’s Kentucky Derby, his trainer said Thursday evening.
“Unfortunately he will be out of the Kentucky Derby (because of) a fever yesterday which I have not gotten out of this great dream,” Juan Carlos Ávila said in a text message to HRN. “I feel that I have one of the best 3-year-olds in this country, and this will not be the day to show it."
Back to the drawing board.
