So...I've been wondering what to expect from horses who've been transferred to other trainers from the above barns now that they've cleared "quarantine". There are several entered at Saratoga and Monmouth tomorrow. A couple have had a race already while others it's their first time back. Unfortunately with Del Mar closing back down for a period of time, we won't get to see what Maximum Security would have done.
Tomorrow at Saratoga, R8 - Flowers for Lisa had been with Navarro. Runs for Diodoro after having one start under Dominick Schettino on 6/7 where he was stopped and eased up coasting under the wire beaten 35 1/2 lengths and now is in for a $25K claiming tag.
Monmouth R10: Mononghela had been with Servis and transferred to Chad Brown. Makes 2nd start after checking in 7th in the muddy Westchester won by Code of Honor. Never in the race and beaten 16+ lengths...had 4 2nds in 8 appearances on an off track, so, would have been reasonable to expect a better showing?
Monmouth R13: Archidust, previously under Navarro now with Steve Asmussen, ML 2nd choice at 7-2. Shekky Shabazz was with Servis having been claimed by him for $25K last July. A month later was listed stakes winner, handicap winner, placed in another and ran 3rd in the BC Turf Sprint. Comes back under Clemente with Bravo up ML fav at 5-2.
I will look to beat the two favs in the 13th with Dubini who's also 3 for 4 over the Monmouth course.
Obviously a miniscule sample at the moment but the two who returned didn't lift a hoof.

Chateau won wire to wire for Servis in AQ in March in a NW3 OC. Next race trained by Rob Atras was a $75K stake at Monmouth and tired badly to finish 5th of 7 as second choice in the wagering. Weighed down by my win wager no doubt.

Firenze Fire has done OK, I think. Flowers For Lisa, the class drop will help a bunch, as will the move to Diodoro's barn. IIRC, first glance at that race it looked pretty tough field for the class level.

If I read this correctly, is the allowance stat the most important one? A trainer can pick and choose spots and levels for claimers and stakes types, but if servis was jumping allowance conditions by cheating, is it harder for the trainer to find the right level to win with a clean horse? Sample still to small but just asking for handicapping purposes....

somehow Marcos Zulueta gets left out of these discussions. Zoomer in goes today in the 8th at the Spa.
Zoomer was running 15s on Thorograph for Peitz, goes to Zuleta and runs a few 6s then a 0 in Feb. Runs a 0 for Ness in June, then a 2 for Klesaris on July 4th. Now 3rd race in 7 weeks and no Zulueta magic dust...
