Grade-I winner Heman Harkie. Has a nice ring to it.

Leparoux is riding at Ellis Park on Thursday so that automatically rules him out

Don't you think Jockey agents are doing the math about 35+ days at saratoga vs a day at Ellis?

Irad Ortiz and Ricardo Santana are probably going to forego their rides at Monmouth on Haskell Day.
Since many of the NYRA regulars have rides at CD on Oaks/Derby days, they won't be able to return to the Spa for the final couple of days of the meeting.

Ellis runs three days a week . Leparoux went 2-39 last year so pretty sure he will be happy not to make the trip north this year.

For Leparoux, he might be better off riding at Ellis unless the Kentucky trainers assure him they'll use him more this year. Of course, this policy may be suspended/revoked in a month, too.

I have a box for the Derby, and checked on the situation yesterday. CURRENTLY the box seating is as usual--still 6 seats to a box--masks required when travelling outside the box, and not within the box. Bus situation is an issue I couldn't resolve. Downtown Louisville is another issue with supposedly a lot of destruction and anti-police activity.
I am probably going to bail out on the weekend, as well as the BC @ Keeneland. Great year to do it from home imo. It is not that important....
