Ascot 8:15- 5f Palace Of Holyroodhouse Handicap (Class 2) (3yo 0-105)
3yo rocketships going 5F on uncertain ground. Yay!! #7- Art Power seems fast on any surface, lead or get out of the way. #9- Keep Busy (15-1) is well travelled and ordinary, except when she runs really good. Pay attention. #1,3,15,16 all have merits, spread wide.
EX- 7,9/1,3,7,9,15,16
Ascot 8:50- 6f Albany Stakes (Group 3) (Fillies) (Class 1) (2yo)
Soft spot in my heart for a race named after my zip-code. #6,9,14 look best, add 3,4,10 underneath.
EX- 6,9,14/3,4,6,9,10,14
Ascot 9:25- 5f Norfolk Stakes (Group 2) (Class 1) (2yo)
More uncertainty and confusion. Take a big swing.
EX- 4,7,9/2,4,6,7,8,9
Ascot 10:00- 1m4f Hardwicke Stakes (Group 2) (Class 1) (4yo+)
Assuming from trainer quotes that #2- Anthony Van Dyck will scratch seeking firmer ground.
#2- Anthony Van Dyck (8-5) ran a huge race chasing Ghaiyyath in the Coronation Cup (GI), should move forward off that effort. #7- Elarqam (3-1) has an admirable career record, son of Frankel was just a head behind Lord North on return going shorter.
EX- 7,9/4,7,8,9
more to follow...

Ascot 10:35- 6f Commonwealth Cup (Group 1) (British Champions Series) (Colts & Fillies) (Class 1) (3yo)
If this race was any tougher, they would issue gloves and spikes to hold your positions! Favoring #6- Pierre Lapin (3-1) and #3- Golden Horde (6-1) the most. Spreading wide underneath.
EX- 3,6/3,4,6,9,16
Ascot 11:10- 1m6f Queen's Vase (Group 2) (Class 1) (3yo)
Coin toss race. I don't like 3,4,6. Good luck if you play.
PASS.
Ascot 11:40- 1m4f Duke Of Edinburgh Stakes (Handicap) (Class 2) (3yo+ 0-105)
"And miles to go before I sleep..." Hopefully waking with an alternative perspective. Good luck on Friday!
EXBOX- 3,8,9,19

Anthony Van Duck is a likely scratch.Despite his name he does not like the wet going.

1st #7 ART POWER towers over with his #s and on the tote. Archie Watson has been quiet so far, so I like both of his runners to be competitive. #1 BAND PRACTICE off the shelf after an unfortunate BC trip, and #5 MAYSTAR. xboxing 1-5-7-9-13 hoping to get something started...
2nd #14 WILLABELL ran on well, just nipped first out from Frankie and Johnny. #6 GOLDEN MELODY was impressive and is from an always live crew. 4-6-9-10-14 xbox

Peter- I just responded to you, thanks!
Pretty formful today, but I'm still only one-for-three. Hoping to make some hay in races 4, 5 and 7.

Blew the 4th exacta—had the winner but tossed #1 to cheapen my box ticket
Taking a shot in the 5th with Ward’s #14 Kumari to beat males, and exboxing 4-14-16
good luck!

Just a quick thanks to everyone for the enjoyable day. Wouldn't know where to start capping Euros so I played along using the great capping from you all. Played long shots and OMNIS ....great start with wins in first 4, and modest profit but gave it all back late, but worth every penny. I think I overplayed the OMNIs (favs don't pay enough when they hit), so may need to tinker a bit. Good luck the rest of the way....

not a good day--not lucky or seriously close--fortunately I have played extremely tight--maybe a reason? Over there, you can play 10pence trifecta boxes and wheels compared to the $1 minimum here--makes it easy to box quite a few in the 20-30 runner races---I hit one twice 2 years ago that paid 1215 pounds each---
one more day to go---+ Belmont!

There was a lot of debate about canceling the meet since they could not allow spectators but thank goodness they went ahead. The racing has been awesome and I’m sure we will see many of these horses cross the pond for the Breeders Cup . Very tough beat for Golden Pal but bit of a Cinderella story for the breeder / original owner of The Lir Jet and I hope he got a fortune from Qatar Racing when he sold him.
