Back in action starting Thursday in Texas. Spanky's boy Ryan Palmer down to 70-1 from 80-1 yesterday and he has the first tee time at 6:50am. Good luck Spank. Taking a flyer on Uihlein at +2800 and Rodgers at +1600 for a top 10. Fore!

Both backed up on moving day. Uihlein had 2 eagles and 3 birdies and only shot -1. Rodgers had 5 birdies and shot +1. Probably need a 62 or 63 today.

Can't believe how Dechambeau looks- he now looks more like an NFL linebacker than Koepka. Must have spent the last 3 months in the weight room. That said not sure it will ultimately help him. There were other reasons but David Duval slipped after serious weight training.

Bryson played in my local world ranked amateur tourney back in 2014. www.northeastamateur.com/That frame can't support that body mass for more than a couple of years playing golf.

They both missed a top 10 by 1 f'n stroke. Close to cashing. Rodgers had 20 birdies,6 bogeys and 2 doubles. Uihlein had 18 birdies,2 eagles and 12 bogeys. On to Harbor Town next week where driver is less important than usual and a good short game comes in handy.

After Harbor Town the tour will be coming to central Connecticut for the Travelers' Championship. I've read that the tournament has chartered a flight to provide transportation to Hartford for a number of players. From all reports, it looks as if there will be an outstanding field. It will be very strange to watch the tournament on TV without the usual very large crowds and the many hospitality tents that have filled the hill above the 18th hole.
In the past, the revenue from the large crowds has led to contributions to many local charities. A number of them have counted on that revenue to help fund their programs. I'm not sure whether that shortfall can be made up from other sources.

That was a very entertaining tournament, there were 10 to 15 players into it almost all the way to the last 3 or 4 holes. I was rooting for Jordan Spieth all the way and just maybe he's found his winning stroke this year. Was also happy to see Bubba make a good run at it Sunday. He's one of those types that if they're on, they're really on but if they're off, then they're really off.
