Watch a virtual simulation of the past 20 years' Derby Champions
in head-to-head competition created by Horse Racing Simulation and the NTRA.
Can't say I agree with the results... fun to watch for fans of the winner.

Was not a fan of War Emblem, but if they let him go 48 and 2/5 again- which was the time shown in the simulation, then he probably wins. As a Barabaro fan, I kinda liked the result.

While not as much experience as some here, I’ve been fortunate to spend the last 24 years leading up to the KY Derby on the backside, seeing with my own eyes how horses have looked, felt, and signaling how they may perform in the big race. I can say without question the only 2 horses I felt that were in a class to themselves were Barbaro in 2006 and Street Sense in 2007. With they way those two were coming in to the race and touting themselves, a bad trip (while likely in the Derby) was the only thing that would have beaten them. Silver Charm is still my absolutely favorite so I’m a little salty at the result!
