Always enjoyed the Statlers and sad to hear of Harold's passing.
Cute story...I think it was in the early eighties and we bought tickets for my aunt and uncle to attend a Statler's concert because they were big fans. My aunt, who was a sweet lady but not the brightest bulb, said "Do you know that last time we saw them the opening act was Barbara Mandrell when nobody had ever heard of her and she went on to be a top country music star by the time this concert rolled around. My aunt asked me who the opening act was for this concert. I told her it was a new singer named Reba McEntire. My aunt said "Hmmpf...Never heard of her"

Met him at a wedding a few years ago, he was related (Grandfather I think) to a guy who married the daughter of one of my best friends. He seemed like a real good guy.
