Just finished a Sierra Nevada Celebration Ale because, well, why not? If I had any Coors Light in my place, I'd drink one in Larry's memory.

Freaky coincidences. Drinking Sierra Nevada Torpedo and 15 minutes ago I told my wife the story of us walking over to the Tom Petty concert at SPAC and you and Larry walking to downtown Saratoga after the concert. So many great memories with that guy.

But we didn't walk back. Larry was nearly passed out on Caroline Street. Imagine that, me the sober one. LOL. Grabbed a cab back. I may break open a Belgian. Think I bought Larry his first at the Parting Glass one Friday night (a Lindeman's Framboise), Travers Weekend when Bryon was along. Yes, so many great memories. A great friend to us lucky enough to have had that connection with him.

I’ve done the walk back from SPAC before. It’s a long way - especially if you’re not walking in a straight line !

Just poured a healthy portion of Drambuie to close off what has been a truly lousy year. My dad served in WW II in the Canadian Navy and was part of a skeleton crew that nursed the escort carrier HMS Nabob back to Scapa Flow at the northern tip of Scotland after being torpedoed in the North Sea in 1944. I always think of him and that place when I taste that wonderful warm liquid.
To all of the UIC family, best wishes and good thoughts for a better 2021. I know we can bounce back in a big way!
