Waiting to see what the weather will be like......looks like maybe some showers.
It's still a little cold here but Sat there were almost 23,000 at the track on a not-very-special day. And there's been a lot of off track days as well, since this is our rainy season.
I'm not around forums much during OP meet, as I go to the track every day...... Only so much time left in a week after that, I mean, I gotta cook and do laundry sometimes!
haven't capped this race yet but will probably be using wells bayou, gold street and american butterfly somewhere. That's as far as I've gotten. Will have to take a closer look at the pletcher horse.......feeling only so-so about silver prospector. Seems like he will take a whole lot of $$.

I thought that the winner ran a very professional race. Broke well—rated patiently inside—moved out around an improving cox pacesetter and continued on. Santana once again on the asmussen first string. Not sure that there was anything meaningful behind them, and maybe this was the only meaningful effort this weekend?
After all, this colt has already beaten the Tagg colt, who looked very good last out, and is probably the current Derby favorite pending a possible return of MAXFIELD.
