9 Sara Street 4/1,Godolphin Street Sense filly out of Sara Louise(Malibu Moon)her claim to fame is beating Rachel.I like the fact that Kiaran sticks with Dylan Davis.He's an aggressive rider and should be on or near the lead early.Given the chance at an off track she has a bloodline and running style that should benefit from the conditions.Major player and the good news is the price should hold,maybe get better.
2 Midnight Disguise 4/1,NYB in the capable hands of Linda Rice.Midnight Lute filly out of Thin Disguise(Yes it's True)who spent her racing life mostly in the claiming ranks.She threw in one clunker in an almost perfect record.That taking on a graded race and going two turns.My read on Rice is she doesn't excel in two turn routes.Midnight Disguise strikes me as one that falls into that category.She also has a choppy action that I'll bet won't fare as well on an off track. She gets Irad and bON ,looks like Linda means business.I think the only time you see 4/1 will be on the program.5/2 I'll bet...or should I say won't bet.
This is a tough call.I do think the 2 is nice.Just looking for the value.
3 Coach Rocks 7/2,Romans brings the Oxbow filly back after a sort of trip in the Kentucky Oaks.She did have to check and alter course but she wasn't catching anybody.That after a near perfect trip.The problem here is the reel back gets me thinking Romans puts more into the trip than I do or thinks he's one up on the competition.Owned by a local boy so I will be rooting for her(him) but boy this one would be tough to put on top.Another that will be lower than ML.
