Hi guys, my Dad is 77 years old is the reason I love this sport . Anyways we're planning a bucket list trip to Keeneland next year. We have never been to a Bc and would be grateful for any information about buying tickets, best seats on a budget, hotels near Keeneland, etc. All advice appreciated.

I don't believe ticket information is out yet, but you can sign up to get info when it is at www.breederscup.comIt will be crowded. I wasn't at the last one, but have been there for the Blue Grass a few times it's cozy with about 35,000. BC will have about 45,000... If there are any mobility challenges with your Dad, I would shoot for the top couple rows of the reserved grandstand between E and Q. The 3rd floor behind the seats is the least crowded for food/restroom/wagering. The top couple rows provide easy access. The 3rd floor area only god to about section E, so if you are in A you have to make your way down the isle at the top of the steps a long way, and there are usually a lot of people standing there too, making it pretty narrow and often slow going. As far as hotels, I've usually stayed in Georgetown or Frankfort, both are a short scenic drive down to the track.

Sounds like an excellent adventure... Keeneland is a beautiful race track! I will always cherish the memories of the times I spent with my father at the races. It will be crowded, but you guys will have a great time - enjoy your Dad as much as you can! Oh yes... take a camera with you. You'll be our man on the scene for Breeders' Cup @ Keeneland.

Had this lined up but not sure about anything now. Probably an X but who knows. Oh well.
Denali Stud and Team Valor International will be sharing a private Chalet Suite at the Breeders’ Cup in 2020. The chalet will have a buffet luncheon and private bar included in the ticket, a private mutuel teller and self-wagering machine, TVs throughout, and guests will have access to an exterior balcony or lawn area to watch live racing from the rail. The chalet suites are located on the lawn beside the clubhouse at the top of the stretch and hold 112 persons each. The Chalet Suite will be the same one that Denali purchased in 2015, the last time the event was held at Keeneland. Denali and Team Valor plan to rent a charter bus to take guests to and from the event and meet at a location near the track with free and plentiful parking.

Had a nice email exchange with Tim who runs the BCBC, he mentioned knowing more about the spectator status "late August". Just a heads up if anyone is holding out hope of attending live. Sounds like there won't be anything firm or announced for a while yet.
