Can I get Whitmore into the ex and tri like last year? Fast pace will suit again. Have not gotten my TGraphs yet but maybe not as fast as last year? Nice recent work.

Checking TGs from the Phoenix he hasn’t been as fast, or maybe hasn’t been consistently as fast. Best this year is a minus 2, but it came second off a lay-off. Where that would land him this year is hard to say but Schancelot, Mitole and Imperial Hint have all run faster. Picks up a piece late, perhaps?

No secret I'll be all in on Hog Creek Hustle but that's going with my heart and not my head. Still, should be PLENTY of pace for him to make his late run. Move to Smith isn't a negative at all but he does tend to like to run outside of horses and the inside draw isn't the most ideal. Still they should all clear him early and then Mike can do whatever he wants. Not sure he's fast enough but he will be used underneath for sure. Engage at 15-1 seems crazy to me given his performance last out. Mitole’s last work was freakish and being near the lead seems to be a plus although he does his best when he has had things his own way and he will not likely encounter that favorable scenario today. Will use but hoping for the HCH/Engaged exacta.

Although I'm no expert on works I watch my fair share.Engage is coming out of his skin and I think he is a must use.I love HCH too Oz,the six furlongs doesn't help him.Seven to a mile is where he belongs IMHO

Mitole looked loaded blowing out this morning. I’ll probably lose one last time trying to get Firenze Fire into the exacta.

Doc, Mikey was gushing this morning after getting on Hog, but yeah, he's at his best going 7f or a one turn mile. Still.... Using heavily with Mitole who I think is going to run the race of his life and Engage.

I'm with you on this one Ozzy. Certainly looking for HCH for the win but the price maybe worth playing across too.

Really looking forward to this one . Rooting for the Tampa Bay Downs based Imperial Hint but I fear that Shancelot may put them all to the sword .

Mitole and Inmperial Hint are fast 6F specialists. I find it hard to believe any horse is going to beat them at their own game. Engage and Whitmore are slower 6F specialists who get up for a slice. Firenze Fire keeps losing to the top two...pass. Catalina Cruiser starts a little slow to catch true 6F horses from the rail...pass. Shancealot might hang on for second or third in a race that's been pretty kind to 3y/o....would play underneath but no value...maybe watch exacta payouts under top two. Seems chalky to me.

Great race . Mitole a very worthy winner. Would have loved to see Imperial Hint in there . Massive amount of money was placed late on Shancelot to end up 3/2 favorite
