For all you fantasy football players that drafted Andrew Luck...well...tough break. I wonder if Luck even considered waiting an extra day before quitting so his FF fans could change their minds on taking him. I did draft TY Hilton so hopefully Brisset can get him the ball. Luck and his goofy neck beard are bye bye (for now).

Since my interest in pro football has pretty much gone with wind, I admire Luck for making a "smart " decision. Hope more players will start making the same choice.

That does make perfect sense GR. Luck was a gamer no doubt. And I'm sure fantasy football was not on his list of priorities...lol...begs the question I hear the question about football...would you let your son play tackle football if he was under 15 years or so. After watching Rory pocket 15 million today playing golf I'd have to say NOT say no...but HELL no! I believe Luck won the Comeback Player of the Year last year so I can understand why he is hanging up the cleats, having been willing to give it another shot shows me something.

Fantasy Football and gambling in general are enormously important for the ongoing popularity of the NFL, if both went away league revenues and viewership would take a significant hit, I think.
I have zero problems with Luck retiring but the Colts are another matter IF the rumblings are true- that Luck told them of his decision in the Spring, but they implored him to wait to announce it until after season tickets were sold.

I had not heard that but it makes sense I suppose. The owner of the Colts is known for doing some pretty crappy things to the city. You are spot on about the Fantasy Football and gambling though. I suppose I should consider myself lucky to have been alive to watch Johnny Unitas and Raymond Berry play, along with other Colt greats.
