Happy Derby week! My how times have changed.... The Monday morning to kick off Derby week used to be quite chaotic with final works galore and even a couple on Tuesday. Not so this year with all the serious work done, Combatant did put in the typical Assmussen easy half earlier before I was able to get on the scene at CD. Well, perhaps before me and several thousand others. Maybe they were out this weekend as while much busier than a normal morning certainly not your typical Derby week on the backside or frontside. Maybe the earlier training period has people staying in bed?
Still happy to be there and to follow are pics from the morning from those horses making an appearance at the Downs. Actually have duties starting Wednesday this year versus my typical late Thursday so doubt I will have much after this until on the grounds for good Thursday at 6am. As always if you are at CD this week, feel free to stop by the paddock, say hello, and bring by a winner or two!

Wel, my photos are too large to post.... shame as have some good ones. I will work when not on an iPad waiting by a soccer field and see what I can do.

Thanks Ozzy - always look forward to your Derby week pics. Hope you have a great Derby week. If you have time to email me at grommet4@gmail.com, I have a quick side question for you tied to Churchill.

That's a good looking dog in your picture, she/he looks very curious. Probably gets in a little trouble from time to time.

Dell, thanks for posting. I promise I am typically not technologically challenged!
Thanks, for the comment. the then pup in my profile is my son’s now year old lab, Jager. He only weighs 100lbs and yes is always into something,
Dell, quite the contrast between Charm and I for sure. Blessed to have friends in the game and he is one of the best. I am certainly rooting for him and will have a few doallars on Lone Sailor for that reason alone.
