Yes, I should have worded it that way, propro.
I don't have enough knowledge of what was going on at SA. I know ownership made a number of changes last year and they have had more troubles since then.
As an OP supporter for 28 years my question is: "is he one who has the horses' best interests at heart?" That is to ask: "will he not put undo pressure on trainers to run horses?"

Not sure OP will *have* to put undue pressure on anyone to run horses. Every year they have way more horsemen wanting to get barns there than there are spaces, and most of the races are 8-14 horse fields. It is very rare at OP to see a 5 or 6 horse field these days. BTW, they are one of the few tracks (if there even ARE any others?) who do not allow CRW teams (Computer Robotic Wagering) to bet into their pools. This is a huge plus.

Speaking of the number of stalls....I would like to see Saratoga go back to limiting stall space to allow more trainers to bring their horses in. This would provide more competitive races. Unfortunately, those days are gone. Guys like Pletcher and Brown dominate stall space.
It used to be fun when trainers from smaller tracks like Suffolk, Delaware, Finger Lakes, etc., would bring in their horses and create some nice payoffs.
