Finally watched the replay—favorite covered by far the most ground(Trakus?), had a slight bump with WoW, then tried going inside the eventual winner, then moved back outside for the finish too late(at 12 furlongs!).
Had a good day going made huge by the 8th winner and exacta(boxed the first three finishers as closers). Let all winnings ride on the nose of Tacitus, so I am pretty disappointed.
Beautiful weekend at Belmont. Easy crowd, lightning fast surfaces and to class racing throughout. Smart ride from rosario(no surprise). Mr.Mott is probably the most disappointed. Didn’t see me.hendry or Bourbon War for that matter.
9 days until Royal Ascot!

Trakus has Tacitus running 65 feet more than the winner. Hooper

Sorry I missed you Spider . I did try and come up to 2N to meet you but the security guard wouldn’t let me in. As you said a great day’s racing and fun to have a horse participate in the Belmont Stakes even if he didn’t run a lick. Hopefully his next appearance will be on the turf at Saratoga

lol Cherokee--looked for you also--thought I would find you somewhere early on--figured you to be on 4th floor but they wouldn't let me go up. Went to paddock trying to catch you going in or out for the 11th but didn't see you there either and paddock was packed . I love sitting in row A of 2N. Best seats in the house imo. NYRA press and photographer sat next to me for a while talking and filming--photoed me for the show--offered me copies in the office--never went there. What about your runner? Couldn't find him, though I was focused on #10. Still stunned that he didn't win. BC this year?

Was in the paddock for the Belmont but went immediately after the 10th race as I knew it was going to be packed. Not sure about BC yet as I’m thinking about last minute trip to Royal Ascot. Terrific cards in prospect and now finding myself more interested in European and Dubai racing than US .

Did every day @ Royal Ascot last year. On file with Moss Bros lol. We usually stay in London or Maidenhead, however last year my grandson was schooling in Oxford for the summer, so I airbnb'ed there for 3 1/2 weeks. Loved that town--cheaper than London and an easier train ride back[brSecond-guessing not going this year. Best racing on the planet imo all in 5 days. Love those $.10 trifecta boxes and part-Wheels!
