Dell, I like him. He has never been really a plus or minus for me when he is on a mount. I think he generally gets the best out of his rides. He has been chilly this Keeneland meet.

Love Charm, he is a fantastic person and a solid jock. Would love to see him get a big horse to ride.

I remember the year Hence and Sonneteer were working "lights out" at CDX. Tapwrit was getting over the track like fluid gold. And all the talking heads were bashing Looking at Lee because he was too much of a slow poke to actually "do" anything at all. And Gormley had a 3x KY Derby jockey aboard. Always Dreaming was such a handful of mess that they had to give him a new exercise rider AND change his equipment... yet you only hear stories about how badly Lani or some other horse "behaved". I could go year for year and do a whole story on pre-race tales. I loved the line in American Hustle: "people believe what they want to believe". That is why I examine my biases very carefully now before I wager and try not to fall in love with any horses.

Trends with horses are often broken, wondering if jockeys who have never run ITM in KY Derby, or never rode a KY Derby, will win one this year?
Audible Javier Castellano 11-0-0-0 Enticed Junior Alvarado 1-0-0-0 Firenze Fire Paco Lopez 0-0-0-0 Good Magic Jose Ortiz 3-0-0-0 Hofburg Irad Ortiz 2-0-0-0 Lone Sailor James Graham 0-0-0-0 Magnum Moon Luis Saez 5-0-0-0
no idea who is riding Instilled Regard or Bravazo or Noble Indy yet, will add to this when it is announced.
(was glad to see Casellano off Bolt, wasn't a good fit for that horse, was not imporessed by his incessant whipping of Bolt, 11+ times in the stretch, seemed rather unnecessary)

Big fan of Charm and chatted with him Monday morning. So happy he gets a chance and the horse is certainly doing well. Charm knows his way around CD so I shouldn't have been surprised he wasn't a bit more overwhelmed about his first Derby mount than he was. I am sure it will hit him Saturday but we went straight from talking about Lone Sailor to a maiden claimer he rode at Keeneland for a friend of ours and his demeanor never changed. I'll have some cash out there for sentimental reasons for sure, but I think the horse has a real chance to hit the board on Saturday.

I love Lone Sailor and he will be on all my tickets. Good luck to Mr. Graham
