Got squeezed at the start and pretty much lost it there. Last/2nd last way back early, not his style. Ran about 18 wide the whole way, and still competed till the end. Did well to get 5th.
He pretty much got Mendelsohnned at the start, but showed heart and grit instead of quitting. Would play again, along with WoW.

Will be interesting to see who goes in the Preakness and who passes for the Belmont. Have to think that MS runs back, not sure he'll want 12F. Wishing I had jumped on no TC winner at -600.

Most of the horses were tired in the k d so I would look to horses entered in the k d that ran even races and showed some endurance by closing in the streach...the belmont distance is the one to consider while the Preakness can be nigh any ones , including winwinwin...just the way he ran...

Trakus data showed he ran furthest of all and seemed like he was 6 wide the entire race.

Unfortunately he has been ridden wide like this all the time. He is what his name implies - Game. Would love to see him ridden differently.

Rosario is known for getting horses to finish strongly. he is also known for wide trips. At least it seems that way.
It's always tough to judge wide trips vs the risk of momentum being slowed due to traffic on the inside (even if you aren't exactly cut-off). Turf horses are more used to running covered up (unless you are a With Anticipation type),thus saving ground is paramount, that plus the fact that the turf course generally being on the inside of the dirt course, the turns are tougher. The type of horse matters too of course. No shock that in their 4 meetings, the one time that Easy Goer dusted Sunday silence was at Belmont where the turns are so sweeping they almost look light straights. SS ran tighter turns great, EG had the big strides.

See where he ran best in derby on TG. Once again the trip kills him. He runs too good too much to not win.
