Derby Day Picks

Too tired to write much but after giving out a few winners yesterday, we’ll try these tomorrow. Still not sure about track conditions.

5th - HUNGRY KITTEN - one more chance for this Shug filly. She needs to get a better break.

7th - CAPLA TEMPTRESS - have been on this Mott filly for awhile. Need at least 6-1 as she is in with two very tough Chad Brown fillies.

8th - WARRIORS CLUB - had this Lukas colt last time when he ran big at 11/1. Very sharp workout has him primed. Should come flying late. Mitole might be the fastest horse around, but I’m hoping he gets some pace pressure from Promises Fulfilled.

9th - AVIES FLATTER - just likes to win period. Seismic Wave dangerous. War FIlm can upset at price.

10th - DREAM MAKER - bomb of the day. Throw out last two. Casse colt working sharply.

11th - MULTIPLIER - scratched on dirt yesterday for this.

Lots of wide open races. Burnt out after today so out having some beers and watching sports

Early I’m leaning toward a couple lower odd horses Curate (Cox again, Derby weekend) and King Zachary. Maybe see if I can catch a price or two in the multi-races after those. Won’t be surprised if the maiden turf race comes off like today Favoring the Team Valor horse in the Humana and Promises Fulfilled in the other 7f GI. The distaff mike looks wide open, spread with overlays? Same with the 3yo turf race. Kinda liked Dream Maker myself in the PD Mile but spreading in multis seems prudent. Like Shug’s Breaking the Rules in the Turf Classic. Derby? No clue.

Maybe some better insights tomorrow.

Started off in race 4 with a nice score on the #5 Borrachos. Could be a good sign!

Did quite well on Race 8.  It came in 8-4-6 so got the exacta and trifecta which paid pretty darn good.
