I'm wondering what y'all make of this guy? He hasn't run a bad race, and you are likely to get a decent price for the "forgotten" Baffert horse who has always run at short odds previously. You can argue that he needed the Risen Star, and although Omaha certainly looked better in the Ark Derby, it was a muddy trip, and a wide one. Should be in the mix, though I'm not sure where. Opinions?

Interesting to me for a lot of reasons. City Zip on top but AP Indy on bottom- what is his best distance? His two most impressive performances were the one turn mile at CD and the short course win at Los Al. Blinkers off after a 2work, one race experiment. Is that why he was so worked up in the gate at Oaklawn? How much energy did that take from him? I'm giving you questions without providing answers, but I don't have a good feeling. I don't think he will be best a 1 1/4 and likely won't use him, even on my deep tickets

Applying blinkers to Improbable for the colt's last pre-Ark Derby workout at California's Santa Anita Park, Baffert experienced unwelcome results at Oaklawn. Improbable, breaking from the rail post, was backed out of the starting gate before coming up a length short against favored Omaha Beach going nine furlongs. "Did you watch the Arkansas Derby?" Baffert asked the media. "He got a little anxious in there with them, so I don't think we'll put blinkers back on him." Baffert added, "We're just fortunate to be in there, and really fortunate with Improbable, because they could have scratched him in the gate. ... It looked like he was trying to sit down, and that could have been a disaster for him. He still ran a great race after all that, and I was just thankful that he got in there, and looked unbelievable to finish second."

Loved his gallop out after the Rebel... he glides as he runs.
