I suppose TAX could be the Battle of Midway type to hang around late. Bred OK for the distance but the Wood has been such a negative Derby prep lately so I question anything done against the horses who winter in NY. Is Country House the new Dallas Stewart bomber for 2nd place? 1) Wrong trainer 2) I just think the Omaha, Roadster, Game Winner crew are better and coming in sharper so I couldn't use in top two spots. Tacitus has won me some money and looked tough against big fields, but against better competition I usually don't bet closers in the win spot for this race.
Not really planning to use any others, but could be talked into Improbable or WOW, now talk to me.....

A horse that closed well in other races will win over the added distance at good odds most likely...time to re watch the races addressing the top twenty five contenders who have the option to enter the k d in each past race they ran , who closed well...and did so with troubled races etc...and hope the selection has been conditioned well for the distance to run by the trainer(s) ...etc....lol..

I don't have Omaha Beach in the win spot, and most likely, won't. Just don't see him winning this. It's hard not to love the horse and trainer, but I don't let my sentiments get involved with my $$.

For that odds sheet, I think Spinoff might be a good bet. 4 tracks, always runs ITM.

Poster at Thoro-Graph takes a stab at the post time odds every year, does a pretty good job historically. Looks like he put a lot of weight on the Mike Smith horse choice. Hooper

I would be ecstatic at those odds. Can’t see Roadster being 9/1. Steve

Roadster more or less co-favored with Omaha currently. 5/1 or thereabouts.

I think my key horse in here will be Vekoma 20/1
Now it's Tacitus. 5-2-2019

Elk,I don't know about anyone else, but my head is exploding from all the handicapping.(another source that is confusing will only cause to distract at this point(for me)) I've several strong opinions which I've shared with the group. Could you break down some of your conclusions, and strong choices for the board. Think most on the fence about a race or two would appreciate it.
