Thanks for posting. That 1989 Santa Anita Derby is the only one I attended and it is an all time great memory. Also saw the Kentucky Derby and the Breeders Cup (at Gulfstream) that year.

I was at that Derby too.....colder that you know what & it sleeted....no cover in the infield

Remember it well b.d. The following year was no picnic either as I recall (Unbridled). If only I had the cold/wet weather gear then, that I have now. Owning an active dog who likes/needs to get out and walk multiple times a day (and during Michigan winters), I don't scrimp on my outdoor clothing and footwear.
