DRF gave Mendelssohn a 106 Beyer. WOW!!
Inside speed was golden all day on the main track.
He looks like the second coming of Bellamy Road in 2005 with the big jump up.

Mendelssohn has already carried 134lbs. That's 14 more pounds than Justify has carried so far.  Not saying this translates to success at CDX dirt @1-1/4, but I try to understand some of the "hype" horses get during this time of year. Mendelssohn just set a track record @9.5F carrying 126 lbs. Justify won an allowance at 8F carrying 122. I just need something other than "fast workouts" (with a trainer who is known for fast workouts) in order to get a bead on the Justify thing is all. I hope he wows me soon in next out. |
