Thank you....very good of you....hope the pp's give every member a few horses to watch through out thier race days....many will win at good odds in lessor races when the horse is spotted right so's the trainer and owners do not need to pan handle etc for a living....lol...I note that a certain horse favored ,is listed right in on top of the first page , who may well be selected later on ,as an alternative choice, to be added in March, in the great WinStar stable contest, lol....but I have always thought that the first three races a horse runs in, and the class the horse runs in , tells what the horse is capable of , if in those races there are no run troubles....and then horses mature there after in most cases physically , etc..but note all horses that run , say, a mile and a sixteenth, in a minute and forty one seconds races, on an North American track ,in thier first three races ,as out standing...as two year olds...lol... etc...just a thought or view point...the euro horses nominated will likely not show up in the series but may in the breeders cup or in races at Medan ....etc...

That took awhile. It's entertaining trying it identify horses that's not on anybody's list that just might be in the gate come Derby time.

Bev,Bourbon War getting some ink from Haskin this week. Hooper
Speaking of BOURBON WAR, he breezed a half in :48 2/5 at Gulfstream and could be a real sleeper. There is no telling how good this son of Tapit is, but he looked fantastic winning an allowance race by 2 1/4 lengths over Cutting Humor, and the fourth-place finisher, beaten 12 1/2 lengths, was Everfast, who came off that race to finish second in the Holy Bull Stakes at odds of 128-1. If you’re looking for a future book horse at big odds, Bourbon War is a horse you want to seriously consider. And at 50-1 in this week’s Future Wager, he looks like the big value bet. I will definitely want a piece of that. After Everfast’s performance I even contemplated putting him in the Top 12, so don’t be surprised to see him there soon as I give that more thought. What I loved about his allowance win was the way he weaved his way between horses on the turn and then sliced through a narrow opening between horses turning for home and drew clear of Cutting Humor with a final sixteenth in :06 1/5. And I loved the gaps of 4 1/4 lengths to third and six lengths to fourth. Being inbred 3x4 to A.P. Indy surely doesn’t hurt. The more I look at this colt the better I like him. I just have to decide whether to wait for the Fountain of Youth or put him in the Top 12 before that.

In reading the , Old Testament of the Holy Bible , old and New Testament, says you are right on the consideration.".lol...inbreeding happened in many persons who were and are in the highest positions of power....in the country areas I lived in , many who were /are , humans , who were inbred , had many sicknesses etc they grew up with....but not so in horse racing , it seems....wonder why that is....lol..life goes on...etc... A response to I hooper ....in general....I know three Arabian horses are supposedly the future of racing past and now.....lol

Very helpful Mr. Hendry, thanks. But in the end I'm sure I'll use my tried and proven method..darts and a dart board.

Thanks for posting Hooper. The group are getting pretty excited and I guess we will find out if he’s the real deal in the Fountain of Youth on March 2 which is shaping up to be a very tough race.

Bev,another mention this week.
12—Bourbon War Mark Hennig/Tapit—My Conquestadory, by Artie Schiller After seeing his huge jump on Thoro-Graph in his previous start, third-fastest race behind Hidden Scroll and Win Win Win, and the way he won that allowance race in such a classy manner, I couldn't keep him off the Top 12 any longer. The fourth-place finisher in that race, beaten 12 1/2 lengths, was Everfast, who then finished second in the Holy Bull Stakes at odds of 128-1. I loved the way Bourbon War weaved his way through the field, going between, then inside horses, and then sliced through an opening between the two leaders and drew off to a very professional victory. He beat an improving Pletcher horse, Cutting Humor, and then came back with a visually stunning :48 breeze, running with his head down into the bit and neck slightly arched, and with that same determined style he displayed in the allowance race. I also loved the way he galloped out. He was a little late changing leads in his last race and will have to work on that. His dam was a classy filly, who won the Alcibiades Stakes on dirt and beat the boys in the Summer Stakes on grass.

Vekoma is up there in terms of fast figures with his one turn mile Nashua win last year.
