Is there a list of horses supplemented into this year's BC races available?

Great question Jeff and often a good handicapping angle (Bluestocking in the Arc recently comes to mind) . No horse springs to mind at the moment but will try and confirm .

I don't think they have supplemental entries like they used to, where you could pay a hefty sum late in the year to get your horse in. I believe it is all done with 'nomination' fees throughout the year, although they rise to pretty big numbers the later in the season you get. It's more behind the scenes/paperwork stuff, so there may not be a readily available list outside of the Breeders' Cup nomination files. Might be wrong on this but I think that's how it is done.

Apparently The chosen Vron had to be supplemented last year . I believe your sire has to be nominated. The Chosen Vron (Vronsky) earned a free entry into the GI Breeders' Cup Sprint with his victory in the GI Bing Crosby S. Saturday at Del Mar, but the 5-year-old gelding is not nominated to the Breeders' Cup and will need to be supplemented for $100,000 to make it into championship weekend. “We definitely are going to supplement for the Sprint,” trainer and co-owner Eric Kruljac said Sunday. “Especially since it's at Santa Anita this year. We'll possibly look for a prep. www.thoroughbreddailynews.com/the-chosen-vron-expected-to-be-supplemented-to-breeders-cup/

All horses must be nominated to compete in the Breeders’ Cup World Championships, most are nominated as weanlings. Horses of Racing Age that in their year of conception were sired by stallions properly nominated to the Breeders’ Cup may be nominated to the Breeders’ Cup program by payment of a fee of $100,000. Horses of Racing Age that in their year of conception were sired by stallions that were not properly nominated to the Breeders’ Cup may be nominated to the Breeders’ Cup program by payment of a fee of $200,000. Nominated horses retain eligibility for Breeders’ Cup World Championships races and any related purses or awards for their entire racing careers. In such cases, the person nominating the horse would receive any eligible foal nominator awards. Please contact the Breeders’ Cup Racing Department for more details regarding HORA nominations.
