Disappointed about The Chosen Vron scratch... and regret to announce fan favorite Badactor is also ruled out. No pics from Del Mar this year, as I was only recently released from hospital after a 3 night stay following heart surgery on my widowmaker artery (90% blockage) requiring insertion of a stent. Heart attacks are no fun. I'm happy to have opportunity to recover. Feeling weak as a kitten, I couldn't make the walk @ Breeders' Cup. Next year...

I'm glad to hear that you are on the road to recovery. Next year you'll be "running" into work. Be sure to follow doctors orders!!!!!!

I thought your eye surgery was the extent of your recent 'medical issues,' I had no idea. Mend quickly, listen to the doctors and you'll be back in the game in no time. Feel better soon.

Thanks for sharing Dell, I had been worried, glad you have that done. I lost a friend a week ago Friday (died in his sleep) whose autopsy revealed a 90 percent blockage in that same artery. Sadly he had not had it checked out and his only symptoms had been feeling fatigued for a couple of weeks beforehand. I know several people who have had the same procedure as you, and said it made a world of positive difference.

Non Compliant, the Bob Baffert-trained 9-2 third choice on the morning line for the Breeders' Cup Juvenile Fillies, has been scratched after failing a PET scan. Co-owner Georgia Antley Hunt posted the news on Facebook Tuesday afternoon.

Dell, health stuff like this tends to happen in clusters, like you have a bad year and then once you get stuff straightened out, you have some clear sailing. 2025 you will have attended to all the big stuff on the big stuff list. I think we improve because each time, we tend to learn something and take better care of ourselves. (like I am much better at using my aritificial tears after cataract surgery, and not going w/out sunglassed in the bright sun). There are things you will want to improve with your heart situation, stents work great, you will just be more careful now. I think we were all a bit more "cavelier" with our health back in our mid 30's, catches up to us later on!

oh no! I wagered that one in her last race at Longchamp at great odds (posted here on Oct 6th) and I was going to play her back.
