Two days of stakes racing sponsored by Godolphin/Darley, so expect some winners in blue silks. The Zetland Stakes on Saturday is always interesting as it is a 10 furlong race for 2yos. The Cesarewitch Handicap has 28 runners going 2 1/4 miles. The races coincide with all the big buyers arriving in town for the Tattersalls October Yearling Sale. Book One starts today, with Lot #72 a full-sister to Arc heroine Alpinista. That will be fun to watch.

#3- Liberty Lane (7-2) just won the Cambridgeshire H. here two weeks ago as the highweight, now steps up in class for a stakes attempt, never better. #8- Lead Artist (2-1) 3yo Juddmonte fily looks to emulate Bluestocking running against older males, progressive runner was second to Kinross going a mile versus older last time, classy Dubawi sophomore might be this good.

Will try to beat Aidan O'Brien with #3- Green Storm (7-1) progressive Charlie Johnston runner won at 9F last time by 9+ lengths to break his maiden in fourth start, but has faced some good ones and can make progress again. #5- Starzintheireyes (5-2) was second on debut to classy Gosden runner Field of Gold in a key race, then took a 7F novice over soft ground at Leicester. Marc Chan runner for Arc winners Beckett and Ryan.

O'Brien the Elder has a strong hand in this race with #1- Delacroix (2-1) which finished second in GII on Irish Champions day last month. Godolphin hope that they have a better freshman class this season so Charlie Appleby doesn't have to go forage in the colonies as much next year. #4- Silver Peak (7-2) expensive Dubawi colt won a mile novice over soft in second start, beating Sir Dinadan which came back to crush a good group at Pontefract going ten furlongs in impressive fashion, may be this good.

Race took a hit with the withdrawal of favored The Lion in Winter (bruised foot), leaving a field of five. Taking a flyer on #4- Seagulls Eleven (6-1) which has done little wrong in four starts (4//1-2-1) and finished just behind Ancient Truth in GII here in July. Race goes through #5- Shadow of Light (5-2) for Godolphin, won the GI Middle Park here two weeks ago going 6F, now stretches out to 7F in what could be an interesting tactical race.

One of my two fancies, Sixandahalf, has scratched. Left with #5- Run for Oscar (15-1) from Irish trainer Charles Byrnes, jockey Rossa Ryan aboard. Racing in fine form this year as a 9yo, last two races were three-milers over hurdles, so his stamina is not in question. Raced okay in Group-company last year, might be hiding in plain sight here, with a win in this race two years ago. #20- Premiere Ligne (15-1) is a consistent 5yo that finished second in the trial for this last month, gets blinkers today and 5lbs off from bugboy Doughty, not without a chance to be there at the finish.
