Kee2 MSW 2yo 1M T 2 Anegada 15/1 and 3 Authentic Gallop 9/2 two evenly matched speed horses with aggressive jockeys. Looks to put 1 States Rights 5/2 in the catbird seat. The 6 Crystal Hill 20/1 could improve for Ortiz off the KD try, don't dismiss.Number 9 Dream Scheme 4/1,nice one for Walsh just missed at Indy and gets Machado again(w/trainer 33% W 67% ITM from 24) KEY RUNNER. 8 No Rematch 50/1 gets b ON from a trainer who can drop a bomb now and then. Off to a wedding, the 2nd of 4 in 5 weeks… Who are the people that do this during fall racing and football season (this from the man who scheduled his wedding and honeymoon between the Preakness and Belmont)…
No clue how track will play today. Yesterday it played like Keeneland of old and a horse on the mainmade the lead, went inside and drew off on the turf seemed like it played to outside closers which is the norm really. Watch and see as certainly cannot make a declaration after one day. We’ve been INCREDIBLY dry for all of September and despite 5+ inches of rain last week I am sure the crew is still playing around with things.
Quick glance for today’s care - nothing I love but some thoughts.
Race 2: States’ Rights as a big fav and should be, Battle Drum in exacta.
Race 3: Illiminatrice as a FTS across the board is intriguing to me
Race 5: Sexagenarian will be fav but Eighty West can run and is faster with a much better jockey and price.
Race 6: throw a dart: 6 most likely and probably my win bet with 4,10 to round out. Unlikely but I could see the 12 getting brave and trying to wire
Race 7: 3. Brightwork - she wins or I lose on the day. Exacta over 7 Red Carpet Ready who I want to see put in a good one back on dirt before retiring
Race 8: Chad Brown wins but which one? Probably 4 although that is boring but 2 is intriguing and I think drops 8 lbs off her last. The 8 Chili Flag not without a shot but has to run down others to get there. Might have talked myself into not a Chad….
Race 9: So everyone loves the 1 but me I guess He was impressive and cost a boatload but something I don’t like. Problem is, not sure who I do like here. 5 well bred and very impressive but beat nothing at Ellis as the horses he did beat have not came back well at all. I like the 10 Dapper Moon quite a bit but a tough post from the outside. I think he’ll be much higher than 9/2 so he merits a look. I might try 4 Handsome Pants as that was a very impressive debut and anytime a colt can win two turns first out, that means something. I watched replay this morning and was nice doing it and he’ll be 20-1 easily so definitely WPS and he might be my key horse for this one.
10: Obviously a great race as the signature race of the Fall Meet and a Grade 1. I love the 3 More Than Looks but no speed to set up his kick and a low price. He will be tighter 2nd off and this sets him up for the Mile in 4 weeks. The 2 is a 1/2 to Frankel and has been running decent ones across the pond. Firm going last out helped and should help here as well. 9 certainly can win…. Ugh. Will watch the tote and make a decision amongst those 3.
11. 5 Eglise said to be a lock but the 7, It’s My Life …. Rusty off a barn change, Tyler stays and 8-1…hmmmm
Best of luck everyone on what is to be a glorious day in the Bluegrass!

nice day yesterday--amazing splits, more amazing late in the day on turf, we watched a Joe Sharp runner(who looked like the controlling speed) go wtw @ 7-1 then we watched Cloudwalker make up incredible ground late to nail the 10th(thank goodness--gave me the p4 and p5) bring it on today!
Kikkuli is 1/2 to Frankel---don't see him as good enough(so he probably wins)
good luck today!
