How does Aiden do it? Interview after you interview, all asking the same questions. He has such poise,, patience , calmness and humility, it's amazing. It is wonderful to have people you can truly admire and they don't make many aiden obriens, that is for sure. He is very "connected" to the horses in his charge. Some are born to this.

Every Aidan O'Brien post-race interview : "After the last day at (insert track name) Ryan got off him and said he could go farther, so the lads sat and had a think and we had come here today with a positive view, really. I don't think anyone could see him winning off by (insert two digits) lengths, he's an exceptional horse I'd suppose. Look, everyone has been a big part of this horse, Dean looks after him, Katie rides him out, his groom Eoin, Timmy brings him carrots Tuesdays and Thursdays, our feed man Liam is good unless he's had a few pints, the farrier Keith is a top man but he parked in my spot the other morning so we'll have to have a chat then..." I’m with Tom, zero feel as can see anything happening. Don’t really trust any so that’s why I am rooting for Next and watching. Won’t have much tied to this one.

I completely agree and here are the reasons why: Forever Young - lesser of the Japanese runners. City of Troy - wise guy turf horse is too slow. Fierceness - 3yo past peak for the year. Sierra Leone - friends don't let friends play money burners. I could be... and very likely may be wrong, but if I am wrong, my wrong will be spectacular in fashion. Arthur's Ride gate2wire. Results: 1st sierra leone 2nd fierceness 3rd forever young SPECTACULAR.

NOT at all sad that a son of Gun Runner won the Classic. Gun Runner was and is truly a champion horse and now gets a BC Classic winner. Despite that I was wrong about the 3 year olds this year. Big congrats to Sierra Leone, and his beautiful pedigree finally kicked in with some work on Brown's side. Too bad about City of Troy , he has that high leg action, no surprise he was climbing. Really hate seeing such a cool horse lose on dirt but he is still a true talent.
