FR- Longchamp- Arc Weekend 10/5-10/6

Best racing in the world this weekend is at Longchamp in France, with the Prix de Royallieu (GI) and Prix du Cadran (GI) on Saturday, and the Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe (GI) and five other GI stakes on Sunday. 

The Cadran may be a rematch between Kyprios, Trueshan, and Sweet William among others.

The Arc field has yet to be whittled down but could have Al Riffa, Continuous, Auguste Rodin, Luxembourg, along with 3yos Look De Vega, Sunway, Sosie, and Los Angeles.

Final fields for the weekend will be set Thursday and Friday.

2022 Arc was good but 2021 Arc was my recent favorite. 80-1.

That was a great race Hoop. I didn't think he had a shot as they turned in because Piechulek was already asking him for everything he had. My money was on Tarnawa at that point, and she almost got it done under Soumillon.

Still the best Arc that I remember was 2009, when Sea The Stars won from a difficult spot entering the straight. Nice to have that kind of acceleration to hit the gaps when they appear. What a season he had!




Would like to have seen Montjeu race.
