Has anyone been to Woodbine Racetrack recently, especially since the gaming expansion there? Considering a first-time visit, staying at the racetrack casino hotel for a couple of nights. What can we expect racing-wise, and other-wise (besides Tim Horton's )? TW

Not since the '96 Breeders Cup TW. That said it was the best Breeders Cup week I've attended. Also loved the Woodbine layout.

I have not been since the expansion so I have no clue what it is like. Don't recall last time I was there but definitely pre covid era.
I live about an hour away so don't really get out there much. Used to attend more often when they held regular summer handicapping tourneys. Now not so much.
Hopefully others can provide more helpful info.

Haven't been since the new hotel was built but the turf course is neat to see and I always enjoyed time spent at Woodbine. Make sure you check with any NYRA connections you have to see if they can pull some strings for you.

Thanks everyone. We're probably going to wait until next year, and either go for E.P. Taylor/Woodbine Mile weekend, or the Nearctic/Dance Smartly program in early October. Six hour drive for us, so definitely a two-night stay. Early reviews of hotel/casino/track are very good, mixed reviews about surrounding area and traffic. I'll check in with my NYRA resources, Keith . TW

Thanks Keith, that was an interesting read. Unusual where their revenue comes from, and doesn't. At least all the players are rowing in the same direction. TW
