Del Mar Three by Three

Del Mar is introducing a new bet that requires players to predict the triactor on the last 3 races on the card. It isn’t like the old twin triactor where you had to have the first leg and then exchange each winning combo for one combination in the second leg. This one sounds like you predict the last three races prior to the first leg and then cash depending on how many of the 9 selections you have correct. It won’t be available on the ADW’s immediately as they need to do some programming to handle the wager. I’m skeptical of the bet’s success but it is nice to see someone trying something new. I wonder if any of the imbeciles who proposed this wager knew that boxing 4 horses in each leg costs $13,824?

Knew that if offered on three 10 horse fields there are 373,248,000 unique combos?


Thursday there are 261,273,600 unique combos pre-scratches.

Friday is easy….only 69,854,400 unique combos pre-scratches.

If you are miraculously sharp enough to eliminate 90% of the combos as having no chance…..it would still cost you $26M on Thurs & $7M on Fri to hit it.
