This is a win bet contest. Players will make 40 win bet selections during the eight weeks of the 2024 Saratoga Race Course season. Track payout ($2 win) is awarded for correct picks.
Selections should be posted, by RACE # and HORSE NAME, on the appropriate UIC daily thread by 12 noon EDT, unless otherwise noted below.
Select any race, any day; make as many as 12 or as few as 0 selections per day, it's your choice.
You may make multiple selections in the same race.
In the event of a coupled entry, you must pick an individual horse as your selection. If another portion of the entry wins, you DO NOT get credit for a winning selection. If, due to late scratches or for any other reason, your horse is running for purse money only, it will be considered a scratch for contest purposes.
Scratched horses DO NOT revert to the post-time favorite; your selection is cancelled.
Surface changes (off the turf) DO NOT result in a cancelled selection.
No alternate/if scratched selections will be allowed.
You can change your selection(s) right up until exactly 12 Noon EDT (scratches available at roughly 11:30 AM) should there be an early scratch, by making a new post (no more editing of original posts). Posts that are time stamped 12:01 or later are invalid. On Travers Day, you should post your picks by 11AM EDT if you wish to include the first two races; otherwise, you should post by 12 Noon EDT for races three and onward.
A complete leader board will be posted nightly, or the next morning depending on the sobriety level of the contest host/substitute scorer (please check your scores!) Contest host will be participating and is eligible for all awards and prizes.
Once you have made 40 selections that start, you are finished, regardless of how many days/races have yet to be run. If for any reason you make less than 40 selections when the meet has concluded, your bankroll will still be based on the selections you did make.
