I see Zito all the time at Oaklawn. I think he is getting into the ownership game as well. I really like Nick Zito because when he did trainer interviews he was always a straight shooter IMHO. (back in the old days).
I had seen the winner many times at Oaklawn (Unstable Prince 18-1) and Ramon Vaz rode him every time he ran ITM in routes. Ramon also brought in Feather's Road yesterday 2nd, paid over $42 for Place.
Sometimes it pays to learn a little about the shippers and get off the big name NY riders. Ramon is really, really good.

TG is no slouch. Not good enough today. I liked Philharmonic too, just that he was off 51 days, I would put in stable for next out. So was the #5 who also went off at pretty low odds for being off so long. Winner trainer is 17% in Routes but I just know Unstable Prince from my home track, used him in contests many times. No idea what Santana was doing on the favorite Prove Worthy, horse had some problems out of the gate looked like.

i liked SET, too. Only played one race today though and not that one. Just watching last race, maybe barnstorming or value engineer will run ITM No wager though.

I said hello (as a random stranger) to Nick Zito as he passed by where I was standing just outside the paddock at Keeneland a few meets ago. Seemed like a very nice guy.

Barnstorming won at 25-1. /but there's a steward's inquiry. Hope it doesn't hold just so I can have bragging rights Value Engineer was running 1st and 2nd for quite a while but then had to go wide and lost ground.

Barnstorming DQed to 2nd. I'm still happy with that though, identifying a good longshot is kinda my "thing". paid $23.20 to place and $15.40 to show Would have paid very well for the win though. about double that.
