Enjoyed the 2 games last night and looking forward to watching Clark and Bueckers on the same floor Friday night. Should get the biggest ratings ever.

Phenomenal night for real basketball- not one on one and dunk contest the men play. All the stars showed up with their A games and their teams showed up as well.

Women's college sports is way more exciting to watch than the men's.
Gymnastics, volleyball, softball and basketball are all worth watching nowadays.
Awesome talent out there.
Of course, this is only my opinion, for whatever it's worth.

i'm old enough to have fought for title nine in junior high. guys got to play bb in the gym at lunchtime while the girls had to stay downstairs in the lunchroom. we fixed that pretty dam quick front page picture of 7th grade president (me) getting dragged outta the bleachers by her math teacher in the annals of history

It was a big hit here in SmAlbany.Sell out(or close to) every night. IMPO females play a better(purer) style of BB.More than the male version that has morphed in hockey play to a non contact sport.

I actually watched the LSU/IIowa game due to the LA Times article and the responses from coach Mulkey and the key players. I thought that the LA piece was incredibly poor—equating the LAU players and coach as “evil” and demonic.typical Cali leftist “we are superior and righteous and those bad bullies are not worthy and undeserving”.
These LSU players and coach were the legitimate defending national champions, in no way deserving the incredibly insensitive press ramblings. I thought that it created tremendous extra pressure on the team and coach. It seemed to play out during the game, especially star player Reese.
Credit to Iowa for being the more focused team, and overcoming a size/strength disadvantage to execute a great game plan for star Clark to deliver.
I get it that many of you like the women’s game better now, though saying that they play a better brand of hoops is far from reality.
I can watch something at the level of South Carolina/Iowa, however anything lesser shows the difference between the men’s and women’s games.these young female(excuse my gender speak) players could probably make more $$$$ from college NIL than in the WNBA.
Purdue style of play reminds me of the Iowa methodology, playing around one key player, while UConn is simply a level above the men’s teams and not even comparable to the women’s level of play.

watched some of the first game--most of the 2nd game---my eyes didnt hurt much SC is like UConn--significantly better than the others
That very late offensive blocking call on UConn was a stunner and had no place deciding that game unfortunately
Iowa may be up against it, though they are a fan favorite
Honestly looking forward to tomorrow night--just hoping to survive 2 days in Lexington(on Bluegrass and final 4 day).

UCONN men and SC women are the same. Can they be beaten ? Yes but their opponent will have to play just about if not perfect and get a less than stellar performance from UCONN or SC

7rNo way, Tex.... Both sexes'\(?) finals were somewhat mirror image. Both strong favorites @ -6.5--both favorites with serious size/athleticism advantage vs. teams with one superstar player who eventually wore down at the finish.
Iowa came out hot, only to see the power of SC gradually assert itself. Clark simply couldnt do it all vs the better team, and wore down until desperation only made it worse. Same could be said for EDEY--he came out seriously motivated, but the UConn big man neutralized the middle enough, while the huge size/muscle advantage at the guard spots decided the game. The Purdue backcourt was pretty much a non-entity.
anyone else think that the Bird/Taurasi show was not very good(being nice)?

Games went the way I expected. Basketball is a team sport and the better teams were victorious. The team advantage was more than an individual performance could overcome. Bird/Taurasi was nothing worth watching IMO. Didn’t need to see Taurasi trying to flex when it comes to Clark. She should be secure enough in her legacy to not resort to that. Hyper competitive folks just can’t shut it off I guess. Manning brothers much better. Sometimes you just can’t replicate things.
