Race 2 . The two Wesley Ward babies cost $340k and $40k respectively. Average price of the other 9 horses that went through the auction ring is $6,500. We have horses in there that cost $1k, $2k, $2.5k and $3k respectively ! Nice purse of $88k on offer to the lucky connections.

2yo champ vulnerable in Ashland? I think very much so. Off of a layoff, 2nd Jody's Pride and 3rd Candied in the BC Juv F are also in the race, and they weren't beat by much. Candied had a not so great trip. Some exciting up and comers Leslie's Rose, Halina's Forte, and Impel. In fact, to me only one horse doesn't seem to belong Standoutsensation, but Amoss has added blinkers and she has had 2 sharp works . He's going to try and wire the field and might cause JFYI to go faster than wanted. I think JP having to deal with Impel and JFYI on her inside hinders her chances. Candied, with a win at Kee, will be the play for me.
