Gulfstream Park- Florida Derby card 3/30

Weather looking good leading up to Saturday, which should be sunny & 76F. Eight turf races, six of them stakes, fields of eight or more before scratches. Not handicapping the Oaks or Derby, looking for selections by smarter folks here at UIC.

Probably taking a good stab at the $3 Tropical Turf Pick-3 (R10,12,13) if I can find a single in at least one leg.

Well now that was impressive…. A record breaking margin of victory of 13 1/2 lengths basically under wraps. He had everything his own way which I doubt is the case in 5 weeks but still the deserving favorite. I think we see another impressive performance in a few in Hot Springs from Timberlake although he will have to work much harder and the pundits will try to poke holes in the performance which is just fine with me….

Yuck…. Timberlake better be Thunder Gultch 2.0 with that effort. Slight excuses but will be tough to see as a winner in 5 weeks off that disappointing effort.
