Turf listed as firm. TAM R4- ALLOWANCE OPTIONAL CLAIMING $32,000 N2X One mile, turf, 3up f&mwww.brisnet.com/cgi-bin/briswatch.cgi/public/SpendThrift/WARRIOR%27S+REWARD/2006/summary.htmlFairly wide-open second level allowance at a mile on the turf. Roy Lerman sends out 4yo filly #10- Any Port (10-1) which has a decent turf record (11/3-3-1) and a SALW win here back in January. Today's rider Hector Diaz, Jr. has ridden her to two of her three victories, and the stable should be all-in for the full purse money as a FL-bred. Class jump to be handled, but Mr. Lerman can have them ready, and the price should compensate. WIN- 10 TW

TAM R4- Result: 5,7,6,10Betting public settled on #4- Dreamster (3-1) but that one is a closing sprinter on dirt, not a proven turf horse. Top two finishers including winner #5- Toolcat ($14.20) both figured to show speed and did, running one-two most of the way around through a half in 50, 3/4 in 1:14 1/5. #10- Any Port had a good trip in the two-path, just wasn't good enough especially behind the slow pace. Favored Dreamster finished dead last. With another second-place finish trainer Greg Sacco is off to a blistering start at the meet, now 6//1-2-2. TAM R7- ALLOWANCE OPTIONAL CLAIMING $32,000 5F turf 3upwww.brisnet.com/cgi-bin/briswatch.cgi/public/JamieNess/NESS+JAMIE/9999/summary.htmlAmazed to see #8- Storm The Court (3-1) show up in this turf sprint. If you don't remember him, he won the BC Juvenile in 2019, for Peter Eurton, at 46-1. That was the race where Dennis' Moment was the odds-on favorite for Dale Romans but he stumbled badly at the start and was never involved. Storm The Court has not won another race since then. Tom Amoss had him for two starts this summer and couldn't get him sorted, last time he could only muster third in a similar race at Horseshoe Indy for newest trainer William Morey. Having watched Morey on the AW at TP last winter, I expect that he'll move this one up a bit, but I hope I can get better than the m/l odds. #9- Bohemian Boy (9-2) hasn't won on turf or at 5F, but Casse drops him down into a winning spot, and he ran third behind Ice Chocolat and Shekky Shabaz at Woodbine last fall going 6F, and either one of those would be odds-on in here. TAM R7- Result: 9,1(dh),8(dh),5 Exacta(s) $32.40 & $43.40
Slugfest all the way around, with #9- Bohemian Boy ($15.80) outgaming longshot Rainbow's Pride, then just holding off Storm The Court and The Judge and The Jury, which dead-heated for second with four of them bang-there at the wire.
TAM R9- CLAIMING $16,000 N2L 1 1/16mi turf 3up
Don't normally play these 'beaten' races (N2L, N3L) for horses that couldn't compete in first or second-level allowances, but I don't like the #1 or #12, which leaves a three-horse trainer play. Rodriguez, Dini, Arriagada. Box them.
EXBOX- 3,4,9

11/25 TBD7 AlwN1x 8.5f 3+F&M 11 Duneen Bay 10/1, 3yo filly by Freud for Lerman,NYB broke maiden in open claimer at B@A last out.Full sib Galley Head has two TBD turf wins.Funny how she is speed but Duneen Bay's two races were closing efforts.Outpost won't matter as much as the trip. There looks to be pace so she has a shot.If that 10/1 holds I'll buy. GL What say you TW? BTW Happy TG to you and Colleen.

GL What say you TW? BTW Happy TG to you and Colleen. Thanks Doc! I think the TAM R7 is a very weak N1X. The (turf) form of the runners coming in looks like this: #1- JBM- MSW $38k DEL #2- WON- CLM25000N2L PRX #3- OFF #4- OFF #5- DIRT #6- WON- CLM16000 TAM #7- MTO#8- OFF #9- OFF #10- DIRT #11- JBM- MDCLM40000 BAQ #1- Clement runner finally got 'needed' Lasix as a 3yo, but didn't break any stopwatches when finally breaking her maiden. Maybe the lightswitch just went on, and she does have inside speed and a competent rider, just not convinced she can take two in a row and the price will be too low. #2- Sacco is on fire, Camacho rides, horse has won three of last four, but that was all for Ness. Claiming off of him can be problematic, and the price on this one will definitely be too low, probably the favorite. #3- I suppose the return to the Raven barn could turn this filly around, but she just doesn't want to win. Seen that movie before. #4- Coming to a claimer near you, soon. #5- Not with my money. #6- Wants to be a 16 claimer. #8- Lightly raced, maiden win was okay (I didn't even know that Belterra had a turf course), last two run at 10F+ for some reason. Not the worst stab if the turnback in distance doesn't leave her with too much to do. #9- Grade 3-placed right here at Tampa last year, then went straight downhill for Shug. Off since July, new trainer, need to see one first. #10- Could argue that this one is better on dirt, but did run well over this turf course earlier this year three times. If you draw a line through the MTH race where she got bumped at the start and didn't run a step, she comes into this with every chance, caveat being she's a deep closer. #11- Straightforward in two starts, just got up last time to get maiden win for a tag. Both races were pretty slow, not sure she was beating much, Lerman tends to start slow down home. Maybe a piece if they go very fast early. I ended up on the #10- Alexa's Dream (6-1) for Bennett/Meneses. Seems like a HFTC for the leading trainer, and you might get 4-1/9-2. WIN- 10 TW

TAM R3- ALLOWANCE OPTIONAL CLAIMING $75,000 8F turf 2yo f
Two scratches leaves a field of four. Pretty much unbettable, unless somehow the #2- Independenceavenue (6-5) is not the favorite.
Result: 2,4 Indepenedenceavenue ($2.60) wired the field without ever getting out of second gear.
TAM R7- CLAIMING $16,000 8.5F turf 3up f&m
#2- Slime Queen (5-1) likes this course, and the distance, always runs her race at this level, trainer Arriagada has started off white-hot. Much the same could be said about #3- Inanna's Quest (9-2), and this one gets a little class relief today. #12- Sing Scat (7-2) may try to steal it under Sammy Marin/Jamie Ness.
WIN- 12 EX- 2,3/2,3,8,9,12 Result: 8,2,13 Charlotte the Brit ($16.00) which had been running on the AW at PID all year took them wire-to-wire under Antonio Gallardo for Darien Rodriguez. Big overlay, in hindsight. Slime Queen ran well for second, no catching the front runner which set a strong pace but kept on going.
TAM R9- CLAIMING $16,000 8.5F turf 3up
Casting a wide net in here. #8- Justintimeforwine (9-2) likes to go right to the lead, and might have an easy time of it today under Jose Ferrer. #10- Performing Arts (15-1) looks sneaky for Carlos David, had two AW starts (which he hates) off the long layoff, now gets back to favorite surface, as he's a half to Oscar Performance and Oscar Nominated. Gets blinkers-on today, plus a 7lb bug, if he's still sound he could thrash these at a price.
WIN- 10 EX- 8,10/1,6,7,8,10,12 Result: 7,4,6 Fast pace in this one led to the demise of the front runners, as Justintimeforwine went way faster than necessary, IMO, with Sandy Lane Kitten in hot pursuit. Those two folded in early stretch and the cavalry ran on by, with Fly Nightly ($16.20) winning his fifth straight after four-in-a-row at Hawthorne this summer. Another big overlay in hindsight. Performing Arts seemed upset on the way to the saddling stalls, was a late vet scratch.
